Waleed Khalifa Al Qatiti trained at NHI in 2005 where he completed an NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping.

Waleed on job training was at the Sheraton as his hotel had not opened at that time. After graduation in 2006 he joined Shangri-la Barr Al Jissa Resort & Spa, as a Housekeeping Service Associate. Working in the guest rooms, front of house and back of house public areas. Waleed was keen to develop new skills and transferred in 2007 to Front Office as Front Office Service Associate and he quickly grasped the role and thoroughly enjoyed the challenges. Waleed wanted to see what life was like outside the hotel industry and spent 2009 at the Muscat City Centre in Seeb in Customer Service, where he gained a wealth of hands on experience. Waleed though realized where his first love was and that is at Shangri-la and the hospitality industry and he returned march 2010 as a Service Leader for Front Office at the Al Husn Hotel. Waleed future goals are to return to NHI to continue with his language skills, attend the Diploma course and develop with Shangri-la within the management and aspires to be the General Manager.
