Andy Healy trained at NHI in 2005 as a student at Gulf Chef School, successfully completing the NVQ Level 2 in Food Production.

Since graduation he gained work experience as a chef at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa in the Capri Court and Samba restaurants, at the Sheraton Hotel Muscat and The Chedi Muscat. He then worked for the tourism company Desert Thunder as a Tour Guide for a year. Following this Andy went travelling in Spain in North Alicante where he worked in some fast paced fine dining restaurants catering for up to 90 guests a night. In 2009 he returned to Muscat and rejoined The Chedi as a Demi Chef de Partie and is currently working in both the main restaurant and the Beach Restaurant. Here he has been involved in the development of new menus which he has thoroughly enjoyed and aspires one day to work in the entertainment industry as a chef on TV.
