Nabila's Success Story in Al Bustan palace, Ritz-Carlton hotel

I graduated from Secondary School (science 63%) in 1992. After that I joined Al Bustan Palace Hotel in 1994 as F&B trainee in the beautiful Al Khiran restaurant. Considering my good performance and hard work, I was selected for a National Vocational Qualification course in National Hospitality Institute in 1997. In this institute I really learned how to do my job more professionally and efficiently in the hospitality industry. In NHI I learned Catering and Hospitality (Serving Food and Drink – Table), table setup, arranging or organizing service station, setting tables to welcome guests to dine.

This institute gave me very good experiences encouraging me to work in this Hospitality Industry and inspire the other friends too to work in this wonderful industry. After graduation from the National Hospitality Institute, I received the next position in the restaurant as a waitress. I continuously learned by cross training in different departments and also studied accounting course in Nice Institute and in Polyglot Institute (Certified Accounting Technician - CAT). After doing my CAT course, I moved to Finance department. Because of constant learning and growing, today I reached the position of Credit Manager in Finance Department of Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Finally, I am sharing my success story with Young Omani generation to encourage them to work in this beautiful Hospitality Industry to develop and innovate your career, personal and professional life which in turn will contribute to the development of our nation.
