Training Centre Manager

Mr. Adil Al Subhi is a highly respected hospitality professional and education leader with a distinguished career spanning over 27 years. He brings more than 10 years of hands-on experience working with leading hotels across the Sultanate of Oman, combined with over 17 years of excellence as a Vocational Trainer and Training Centre Manager at NHI Oman.

Throughout his career, Mr. Al Subhi has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing Omani talent, bridging industry standards with practical, competency-based training. His deep understanding of hotel operations, workforce development, and vocational education has enabled him to successfully design, manage, and deliver industry-aligned training programs that meet both national and international benchmarks.

As Training Centre Manager of NHI Oman, Mr. Al Subhi is recognized for his leadership, professionalism, and dedication to student success, employer engagement, and quality assurance. His expertise continues to play a vital role in strengthening Oman’s hospitality workforce and supporting the Sultanate’s long-term human capital development goals.

Mr. Freddy comes with over 30 years of hospitality experience in operations, training and academics. His expertise spans a wide range of areas in hospitality including e-learning management, concept creation and design, food safety systems management and talent development.

He is a certified educator in hospitality management and vocational studies from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute – USA, Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality, City & Guilds and Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and Highfield – UK; with a proven record of results in talent management over two decades.

Freddy is also Expert Track™ certified in behavioral science with focus on cognitive and social psychology.

Specialized in systems and instructional design to suit management, supervisory and team scopes of work, he is highly skilled in teaching, coaching, training, counselling, mentoring and consulting.

Freddy was Jesuit schooled at St. Patrick’s Boys’ High School in Bangalore – India, further educated in hospitality management, Muscat, Oman, from AHLEI – USA, and professionally certified from awarding bodies in London - UK.

Instructor – Gulf Chef School

Chef Anagh has completed bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from Mysore University, and Masters in Hotel Management from Anna Malai University and MBA from Mahamaya Technical University in India.

He has over 17 years of teaching experience, starting his career in 2006, as an Associate Professor of Food Production in U.P technical University and Member of technical board in U.P technical University until 2014. He joined NHI in August 2014.

After joining NHI, he completed his diploma in Hotel Management awarded by AHLEI, USA. Through City and Guilds, UK, Anagh has qualified the Level 3 Award in assessing competence in the work environment and the level 4 TAQA Award in Internal quality assurance of assessment processes and practices.

Chef Matthew is a dedicated vocational culinary trainer with a strong passion for developing the next generation of culinary professionals. He combines industry-driven practical training with disciplined kitchen standards, ensuring students gain the technical skills, confidence, and work ethic required in professional kitchens. He has over 20 years of progressive experience managing the provision of fine dining for resorts, restaurants, catering and as a private chef; refining the art of cooking; developing impressive menus; and preparing culinary dishes influenced by culturally diverse regions around the globe.

Known for his hands-on teaching approach and commitment to excellence, Chef Matthew consistently inspires culinary students to refine their craft, embrace creativity, and pursue long-term careers within the hospitality industry.

Chef Matthew Wright holds strong academic and professional culinary qualifications that underpin his expertise as a vocational trainer. He is a Diploma graduate of the Prue Leith Culinary Institute (South Africa), is THETA certified in Food Preparation, and holds a recognized qualification from the Cape Wine Academy. In addition, he is a certified trainer with École Hôtelière de Lausanne, reflecting his commitment to international standards of culinary excellence and professional hospitality education.

Lead English Instructor

Ms. Zannatul Ferdous is a certified Cambridge English Instructor with over nine years of professional experience in teaching English as a Second Language, Early Years education, and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) training and facilitation.

She is a results-driven educator who has successfully worked with hundreds of students, helping them build strong language skills, confidence, and effective communication abilities. Known for her engaging teaching style and learner-centered approach, Mrs. Ferdous is committed to empowering students to achieve measurable progress and long-term academic and professional success.

Mrs. Pallavi Gupta embodies professionalism and dedication in the travel and tourism industry. A Lead Cabin Crew and Customer Service Instructor with more than 15 years of gold standard industry training. Mrs. Pallavi Gupta brings global insights shaped by training experience across India and Oman.

She has collaborated with international universities and institutes, while also serving the National Hospitality Institute since 2018, playing a key role in curriculum development for Travel & Tourism under the Ministry of Education. A Gold Medalist and Valedictorian, Pallavi’s academic excellence is complemented by strong real-world experience.

Her ability to train multicultural students is widely recognized as she combines a warm, approachable manner with consistent professionalism, developed through years of experience in both aviation and education.

F&B Service Instructor and Assessor

Mr. Ahmed Al Balushi is the F&B Service Assessor and Training Instructor at NHI Oman, bringing over eleven years of experience in hospitality training and assessment.

Prior to joining NHI Oman, he spent six years at Oman’s iconic five-star hotel, The Chedi Muscat, where he developed strong operational and service excellence expertise.

Mr. Ahmed is a highly qualified senior F&B service professional, holding certifications from City & Guilds, Highfield UK, and The American Hotel & Lodging Institute, and is committed to developing industry-ready hospitality professionals through high standards of training and assessment.

Mrs. Muzna Al Amri is the Training Supervisor at NHI Oman, bringing over ten years of dedicated experience in the administration, coordination, and oversight of vocational training operations. In her role, she is responsible for managing student enrolment processes, monitoring attendance, and maintaining accurate personal and academic performance records for all students across NHI Oman’s training programs. Her meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills ensure that student records are consistently compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Muzna has played a pivotal role in supporting the smooth delivery of training programs by acting as a key liaison between students, instructors, and management. She is highly regarded for her ability to implement structured systems that enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability within the training environment. Her experience enables her to identify potential issues early and take proactive steps to support both students and instructional staff.

Mrs. Muzna is also deeply committed to student success and welfare. She provides ongoing guidance to students regarding attendance expectations, program requirements, and performance standards, helping them remain focused and motivated throughout their training journey.
