Mahmood Al Waheibi
Champions winner 2021. Mahmood trained at NHI as a chef in 2017. He then joined Kempinski in 2018 as a Commis chef. He was promoted to Chef d’ Partie in 2021.He has entered a couple of Chef competitions during which he proved that his performance was outstanding. Mahmood is passionate and positive about his work.

Laith Al Ajmi
Champions winner 2021.Laith trained at NHI as a Receptionist in 2011. He then joined the Crowne Plaza Muscat where he worked as a Receptionist until 2013 when he was promoted to Reception Supervisor. In 2014 he joined The Chedi Muscat briefly as Shift Leader. In the same year he joined Holiday in as A Reception Supervisor. Later that year he moved back to Crowne Plaza Muscat for 3 years. In 2015 he was promoted to Duty manager. In 2018 Laith joined the Kempinski as a Duty Manager. In 2021 he was promoted to his current position of Assistant Front Office Manager.

Rabah Al Yaarubi
Rabah studied at NHI in 2002. On completion she joined the Intercontinental as a Commis 3 in the cold kitchen. She has worked her way up over the last 20 years and now holds the position of Demi Chef. Rabah has worked in Tomato Restaurant at the Intercontinental for the last ten years.

Suaad Al Mabsali
Champions winner 2022. Suuad studied at NHI in 2017. On completion she joined The Hormuz Grand where she worked as a waiter for two years. She then joined the Intercontinental Muscat as a hostess. In 2021 she took the position of restaurant Supervisor at Kempinski.

Abdul Latif
Champions winner 2020. “It has been an incredible experience that began in 2009, when I decided to be a trainee at the National Hospitality Institute. For the past thirteen years, I have worked in the hotel industry specializing in the rooms department. I consider myself extremely lucky to have worked with the best hotel brands in Oman.”

Noora Al Nabhani
Noora studied at NHI in 2017 as a Receptionist and then joined the W Muscat in 2018 as a Welcome Desk Agent. Due to Noora‘s willingness to work and numerous positive Guest Feedback comments Noora was promoted in October 2012 to Talent Coach, which is the title given to W employees for Reception Supervisor.

Ali Al Busaidi
Ali studied F&B at NHI in 1998. He worked at Intercon for 4 years as a waiter, then moved to Abu Dhabi where he continued to work in F&B for 2 years.He returned to Oman to work at the Al Bustan palace where he worked in F&b for a further 4 years. From there he moved to Ethihad Airways where he worked in the Sales department. In 2014 he joined the Hormuz grand as sales manager and in 2017 took on his current position at the Novotel.

Mohammed Al Raisi
Champions winner 2021. After completing his training at NHI Mohammed started his career with WACASCO in the dessert. He moved to Intercon in 2005 as a steward. And was quickly promoted to Commis 3, then 2, then1. He continued to progress to demi Chef and then Chef d’partie. In 2014 he worked briefly for Holiday Inn Seeb and the moved to the Chedi ads a Chef d’partie. He then moved in the same position to the Grand Hyatt. When Chef Emanuel came back to Intercon in 2019, Mohammed returned back to his Intercon family where he currently holds the position of Junior Sous Chef.

Khulood Al Busaidi
Champions runner up 2021.Khulood trained at NHI in 2017. She then joined Shangrila where she worked for 11 months as Commis 3. She then moved to Majan continental for 1 year as Commis 3. Khulood joined the W as Commis 2 in 2019. In 2020 she was promoted to Commis 1 and is expecting to be promoted to Chef de Patie within the next 6 months.

Ali Al Ajmi
On completing his studies at NHI in 2005 Ali worked at The Al Bustan Palace and Anantara Jebal Al Akhdar in the Housekeeping department. Ali joined Kempinski in 2020 where he took a position in the Recreation department.
